As an exploration in using a variety of media for art the Room 9 team used charcoal. Most had never used charcoal before so we spent the afternoon experimenting with different techniques. A lot of fun and very messy .

PAINTING FRIENDSHIP ROCKS
We created some beautiful rocks for our class entrance. These will be made into stepping stones for outside our room. Awesome work!

WEAVING
We made some weaving art as a symbol of how we are all different but when we work in together we can create something beautiful. This was integrated with our learning our the Treaty of Waitangi (He Tiriti o Waitangi).
